After lots of controversies and rumors, Adcom announced sale of its 1000 units of Freedom 251 to a Noida based company Ringing Bells at the rate of Rs.3600 per unit. Further company has warned Ringing Bells to take a legal action against them, if their act in any way harms the Goodwill and reputation or incurs any sort of financial loss to the company. Ringing Bells, a Noida based mobile company announced Freedom 251 to be the cheapest phone worldwide. Freedom 251 has quite similar appearance as Adcom’s Ikon 4. Ikon 4 is available @ Rs.3999 in the Indian smartphone market.
Advantage Computer’s Founder and Chairman Sanjeev Bhatia said in his statement to the press that they had sold their devices to Ringing Bells as they sell to lakhs of other buyers but they did not know the intensions of Ringing Bells reselling them again and are very much surprised by the pricing policies of the company as they themselves sold the phone to the ringing Bells at a price of Rs.3600 per unit whereas Ringing Bells is selling them at Rs.251. He also stated that the company has purchased 1000 units from Adcom and paid for it as well, But Ringing bells was spreading news of buying lakhs of handsets from Adcom but still have not purchased.
