Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 Smartphones

It is a good news for HTC 10 owners as they will start receiving Nougat update soon. The HTC Vice President for Product Management, Mo Versi stated that, In US the unlocked versions of HTC 10 will start receiving Android 7.0 Nougat from 25th November. As of now HTC 10 has not received analytical review of Galaxy S7 and Google pixel for this year, but it is said to be a good device with an improved Nougat OS. Honour confirmed the news of upcoming launch of latest Android 7.0 nougat and the EMUI 5.0 for its user interface for HONOR 8. According to the company the users will receive the update notification in a 300MB size, in case users don’t receive the notification then they can go to settings and download the software update manually.

The key features of Nougat update includes multi window view, it will also allow users to run two application at a same time. The users can also view display of apps in one screen side by side. The first ever Android 7.0 Nougat equipped smartphone is LG V20 which is launched with the latest Google OS. The rumour in the industry also say about the possibility of Samsung to have beta version of Android in Galaxy Note 5 and Tab S2. The launch of Android Nougat is another amazing update by Android marshmallow.


The update of HTC 10 is of 1.11 GB and the software is 2.28.617.8. HTC also tweet its users that they will receive the update from 25th November but it is limited to the unlocked devices in UK only.

In the month of August HTC announced to its users of bringing Nougat update for HTC 10 and One M9 and A9. The confirmation received from the company shows that the promise is delivered.
