BlackBerry launches the Leap with 5 inch display


The BlackBerry company announces the launch of the new BlackBerry Leap here in India by next week. Few sources reveal that this smartphone is tagged at Rs. 21, 490. The company did not confirm yet.


The new BlackBerry Leap has a 5.0 inch display along with 720p and full touch display. The glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is also powered by 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon with the S4 MSM8960 along with the Adreno 225 GPU.


It has 2GB of RAM and it has 16GB of the in built storage space and it can be expanded up to 128GB with the microSD card. This smartphone would run on the BlackBerry OS 10.3.1. This mobile features an 8 Megapixel of the rear camera and a 2 Megapixel of the front facing camera.


This handset is backed up with 2800mAh battery and the company says that it would give up to 25 hours of the mixed usage. The new BlackBerry Leap do not support the TDD LTE band 40 which is used by the current 4G networks here in India.
