In a growing smartphones industry there is a tough competition among sellers. Recently Lenovo and Motorola achieved third position in the race as per the statement published by Canalys. The report also says that Lenovo and Motorola went short by only 3 million pieces in the collective shipments which is also 60 % more than the last year sale during this time period. On the Other Hand, reports furnished by Canalys confirmed that as a result of fall in more than 20% annual shipments due to expenses incurred on inventory distribution a Leading smartphone company Micromax stood at second place. Also top Indian smartphone companies like Intex, Karbonn and Lava suffered heavy losses after consecutive failure in shipments.
After all this also, Indian smartphone industry has shown a remarkable increase in the smartphones shipments every year. Rushabh Doshi an analyst of Canalys said that the Local companies are finding it problematic to cope up with the quality standards of global smartphone companies and finding it tough time to compete with high price brands. Whereas the Chinese companies like Vivo and Xiaomi are investing heavy amount of funds in promoting their low cost LTE smartphones with the help of handouts and visual channels. Thus, they are building brand name and goodwill among buyers in the market.
