Motorola is always ahead of its competitors in rolling out the Android updates to its users. The company VP of Product Sales and Operations, David Schuster has already announced Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Moto X (Gen 1) users. The upgrade would be made available in 14 countries that also include Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. The said update would change the operations of the handset for better and the users will experience enhanced touchscreen interactions along with certain bug fixing.
The new Android update would connect the phone automatically to the home Wi-Fi. The upgrade would also fix notification bug experienced by the Moto X (Gen 1) users. The announcement is already out and the update is in the air but the users may require some time to get this update on their handset. Meanwhile Moto X (Gen 2) users are already enjoying this new update since December and have been positive about the same. The company has also planned to roll out the next version of Moto X series soon. This next version would be called Moto X (Gen 3).
Motorola would power this new handset with Snapdragon 810 chipset and would be made available in 32 GB as well as 64 GB variants. The phone will house 16 MP rear camera improved with Clear Pixel Technology. The battery backup of 3280 mAh battery would make the phone last longer in standby and even when in use.
