The next variant of Apple’s iPhone will be released in the third quarter of this year. The rumors are spreading already about the additional features that are expected along with the launch of iPhone 8. The leaks are rendering about the new 3D censor feature in Apple’s iPhone 8. As per reports it will be the first ever Augmented reality step by the company. The new 3D camera will first measure the distance between the sensor and the object that will place the computer graphics at proper location. This camera will work in two different ways, Time to flight (ToF) and Structured light. In the first method ToF the distance between object and sensor will be calculated which will work with the known time difference between the release of the signal and its return back to the sensor after taking object’s reflection. The structured light method will work with the pattern of the object distorted after projecting light on it and thus the distance will be calculated by analyzing it.
To get the best engineered model, a team of more than 1000 engineers are working in Israel on the augmented reality. The company is focused to have best features for its upcoming smartphone iPhone 8, which will be launched at Apple’s 10th Anniversary event.
It is expected that the iPhone 8 will come with thin bezels, AMOLED display screen, black glass and steel body frame. As per reports, it is also expected that the company will bring the OLED display feature in all of its phones by 2019. Along with the additional latest features, the iPhone 8 is expected to be priced at $1000, which will make it most expensive variant till date.
