Nokia N1, the First Nokia Android Tablet.


The Nokia N1 is the “First Nokia branded Android Tablet” has been now officially confirmed its launch date, January 7 in Beijing, China.


The firm, Finnish made an official announcement on Thursday saying that confirming all the earlier reports on this, on a Chinese Social network called “Weibo”.


The N1 was first unveiled in November. The company, Nokia during the unveiling, has said that the device would first launch in China in Q1 2015 along with a Brand-Licensing agreement extending to OEM partner (Foxconn) that would manufacture, distribute and sell the Nokia N1 tablet. The N1 would cost around $249, that comes to Rs. 15,400 appropriately before taxes. This would be made available in other markets globally, Nokia claims.


N1 specifications are a 7.9 inch (2048×1536 pixel) IPS-LED backlit display which is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3, it has a 64-bit 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor (4 cores, 4 threads) with a Power VR G 6430 GPU, its comes with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM.


The storage is 32 GB of inbuilt memory which cannot be expanded. 8 MP of rear camera with auto focus and 5 MP of front facing camera. 5300mAh battery. The Nokia N1 gets with Android Lollipop 5.0
