The first supercomputer is expected to be completed solely by Indian scientists by August 2017. Talking about rest of the computers, it was revealed that some of them will be imported and some will be made in India.
Ashutosh Sharma also stated that the scientists are working on the system of controlling heat in the supercomputers. The cost incurred on this heating system will be somewhere around 1000 crores. This new supercomputer will be applied in the different science institutes in the country.
This supercomputer is going to be benefiting to country in many ways like, providing information on weather changes, climate modelling, invention of new drugs and medicines, etc.
Till now only few countries were present who were accounting on the maximum share of the best and the latest super computer models across the globe, these countries were US, japan, European countries and China. Now India has also come in the race of building super computers indigenous in the country. This project is expected to be a biggest milestone in the progress of the computer technology and bringing India to new heights.
