Samsung bringing the G9198 Flip Phone with Snapdragon 808 SoC and Dual Screen to China

During this ongoing trend of touchscreen phones, Samsung has brought in a change with its dual screen flip phone G9198 launched in China. This is a change for the Android lovers as this is one of its kind flip phone supported on Android operating system. This phone can be considered to be giving best of both worlds with its 3.9 inch touchscreen and keypad just like the earlier time phones. The dual screen phone has two screens, one inside and other on the top half of the phone. The resolution of both these phones stand at 768 X 1280 pixels with WXGA technology. The Android based phone have not yet given in clarity about the Android version but as far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone would support 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and Dual SIM. The model launched now is supposed to be supporting the networks of China Unicom 4G network and China mobile.

This designer phone is powered by 2 GB RAM and 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor backed by 2020mAh battery. This phone is very sleek with its dimensions being 120.3X61.2X16.3 mm and the weight being 204 grams. The phone which is featuring T9 keyboard is designed to support China mobile and China Unicom as the official carriers, which indicates that these phones would not be launched in the countries other than China.

The flip phones are again gaining popularity in the global markets and that can be deduced from the flip phone models being released by both Samsung and LG. These new clamshell phones would again bring a twist in the smartphone market that is very much after the big screened touchscreen phones.
