Samsung Galaxy A8, talked as the successor of A7 is unveiled online by some sources from China. The company has not yet confirmed anything about this handset but as per some Chinese website, the launch of this smart phone is planned on July 17, 2015 and would be restricted to China. Another French website has also stated the probable pricing of this Samsung smart phone would be around EUR 439 which approximately amounts to Rs.30,800.
According to the images and specifications available online about this phone, it will be the thinnest handset manufactured by Samsung till date and would have thickness of 5.94mm. Though there is no official announcement made by the company about the existence of this smart phone at all, Chinese website “PC Online” has posted images taken in all angles,of this proposed device. It also claims to have physically checked the phone.
If the sources are to be believed then it will be based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with 5.7 inch screen sporting full HD Super AMOLED display. The metal side bezels that are shown in the images have made this phone very similar to the Galaxy S6 as far as front looks are concerned. Another feature that grabs attention is its fingerprint sensor and 16 Megapixel ISOCELL camera on the rear. The front camera of 5 Megapixel is provided in this model.
From performance point of view, this phone is backed by 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC processor, Adreno 405 GPU, and 2GB RAM. On connectivity part, this new Samsung handset supports 4G LTE connectivity along with other standard connectivity features like USB, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. This Samsung phablet that has dimensions like 157.7×76.7×5.94 mm has substantial battery backup of 3030mAh. The phablet would be made available in colors like Black, Gold, and White.
