Samsung has recently launched its two flagship phones Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 but now company has unveiled Galaxy Note 5 Duos (SM-G9198) in Taiwan. The pictures of the phone as released on the website shows two slots that can be used to accommodate two nano SIM cards. Galaxy A series phone also comes with two card slots but these slots are Hybrid and can also be used for memory expansion with microSD slot. This possibility is not there in Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Duos as the
slots provided here are not Hybrid and cannot be doubled as microSD slot. There were rumors doing round of the smartphone market that this new dual SIM variant would support dual SIM cards and would also have microSD slot to expand the memory, but now with the unveiling of this phone in Taiwan, it is certain that the phone would support only dual SIM cards and may lack on micro SD slot which would not go well with those looking forward to store elaborate media content in their phones.
The earlier launches by Samsung, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 would not be made available in 128GB variants as of now. Currently only 32GB and 64GB variants are made available to the users. The phone which was first launched on the company websites in Indonesia, China, and Philippines has also hit some of the stores in Philippines in late August.
The dual SIM phone with Duos branding present on the backside is not yet decided to be launched in Indian market as of now. Those in India waiting for Duos phone to be launched will have to wait until official launch or at least the news confirming the launch.
